Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

The Educational, Professional and Ethical objectives of the LL.B Shariah and Law program are to produce professionals in Shariah and Common Law, the graduates after completing the comprehensive law program will be able to:

  1. Analyze and apply the principles of Shariah and common law from its sources.
  2. Lead and engage in teams in problem solving tasks through effective communication.
  • Utilize Sharia and Law to advance their knowledge and skills and to understand business opportunities in the profession.
  1. Demonstrate ethical and professional values and moral obligations in providing services to the clients and the society as a whole.
  2. Meet the expectation of clients, the profession and society.
  3. Demonstrate practical legal skills such as in drafting of pleadings, contractual documents, advocacy skills, negotiation and necessary skills for alternative dispute resolution.
  • Have competency and proficiency in the Shariah or Civil court processes in accordance with the court’s practices, rules and procedures or other areas.
  • Have motivation to practice and provide legal services to the legal profession locally or globally.
  • Demonstrate competence in conducting legal research.
  • Demonstrate competence in legal analysis and reasoning.
