Community Dental Health And Awareness Camp

LOCATION: Service Road West, Dhok Kala Khan, Rawalpindi
A dental camp at Dar-e-Arqam School Dhok Kala Khan was conducted on Nov. 25, 2022, by the faculty and staff of the Community Dentistry department led by the HOD, Prof. Dr Shujaat Hasan Idris. A group of 120 children aged between 4 and 6 were addressed and checked. The following activities took place:
- The proper way of brushing teeth for children was explained and demonstrated.
- All the children were allowed to practice and perform brushing on models using toothbrushes. (pictures attached as annexure)
- Oral examination and screening were also performed to get an insight into the oral health condition of the children and their teachers.
- After the screening and demonstration were completed, every child was given a present in the form of a toothbrush and toothpaste.
- Teachers were also provided oral hygiene instructions to maintain their oral health along with the children.
The camp was concluded with very positive feedback from the children and the school authorities.
