Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shifa College of Dentistry is located on the 1st floor of the hospital. It is a large scale facility of Islamabad/ Rawalpindi offering treatment of complex oral and maxillofacial diseases and trauma. The Department is fully equipped to run an undergraduate teaching program under the auspices of Shifa Tameer e Millat University.
The department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shifa College of Dentistry is composed of a talented and dedicated faculty, who seek to continuously grow as academicians, as clinicians and as teachers. Our faculty aspires to conduct researches and produce valuable publications that can contribute to the existing pool of knowledge in the field of maxillofacial surgery.
Vision:
The vision of department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is to devote ourselves for the services of humanity through providing emergency services and comprehensive dental diagnosis and surgical care. Our mission is to equip our students with exemplary knowledge, skills and attitude to increase their clinical acumen and promote excellence in oral health care. We want to involve all our faculty members, students and paramedical staff to actively participate in the research projects as well.

Department of oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Shifa College of Dentistry is committed for providing relentless services through prompt diagnosis, surgical treatment and emergency patient care. Besides we are actively involved in mentorship of young minds through inculcation of proper diagnosis and management approach among students.

- To start MDS program in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery
- To start FCPS training in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery
- To Conduct workshops on surgical skills and research methodologies
- Provision of best possible health care to patients of maxillofacial region.
- Research for the better treatment options of maxillofacial pathologies.
- Awareness among public for the preventive measures of Oral Cancers
