Dental Education Department at Shifa College of Dentistry strives at improving the quality of training and guiding the faculties in development of curriculum for the Dental specialties. Playing a major role in reviewing and revising the curriculum for quality assurance, the department aims at monitoring and evaluating the educational program for advancements, responding actively to the increased expectations of the society and train more competent doctors.

The department ensures a valid and reliable process of assessment. Furthermore, all the evaluation activities including the feedback from the students and the faculty regarding the academic activities are executed by the Dental Education Department respectively.

AIM:

The department aims at promoting faculty development, curriculum development and improvement in student assessment plans. Faculty development workshops are conducted to train faculty of the teaching strategies used in SCD like Small Group Discussions and PBL.
