Training workshop on multiple mini interviews

The Department of Health Professions Education, Shifa College of Medicine, arranged a training workshop on Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs) for the Faculty of Pharmaceutical sciences, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 9:00 to 12:00 Hrs, at Conference Room, Shifa College of Medicine. Dr Muneeza Aamir Sami facilitated the session along with Prof Dr Riffat Shafi, Dr Shazia Irum, Dr Hareem and Dr Mahrukh Durrani. She briefed the participants about the basic format and purpose of MMIs in assessing non-cognitive domains and selecting the candidates with the right aptitude for medical school. This was followed by a role play by Dr Hareem and Dr Mahrukh.

The participants were then asked to construct relevant scenarios for MMIs in small groups and conduct a mock MMI. In the end, there was a wrap-up session where the participants reflected on the whole exercise, and the facilitators gave feedback on their performance. It was an interactive session, and everyone participated enthusiastically.
