Department of Health Professions Education, Shifa College of Medicine, hosted a training workshop focused on integrated OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) and practical examinations. The event was scheduled on Saturday, January 13th,2024 at the SCM Campus, at 9:00 am. The workshop, titled “i-OSCE,” was a Faculty Development Initiative by Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University which aimed to provide education and training to the faculty of Shifa College of Medicine. The objective was to bring together assessment experts from SCM, particularly those in the clinical years, to collaboratively generate ideas for the planning and implementation of integrated OSCE. Both clinical as well as basic science Faculty was invited for designing and conducting regular OSCE stations at SCM. Prof. Dr. Alam Sher Malik led the workshop from Medicine & Science University (MSU) of Malaysia. He was assisted by Dr. Adil Abdul Rahman Al Zadjali, HOD Surgery at Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Oman; Prof. Iqbal Khan, Vice Chancellor at STMU; Prof. Saeed Shafi, Director at SSHPE-STMU, Dr. Laila Shakeel Abbasi from Shifa College of Dentistry and members of Department of Health Professions Education.
