The Department of Health Professions Education in collaboration with ORIC-STMU organized an educational development seminar titled “Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development in the Healthcare System” held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at SCM Campus. Dr. Amer Sohail Kashif, Additional Registrar and head of the Pakistan Innovation & Entrepreneurship Development Centre, conducted the seminar. The primary aim of the lecture was to enlighten the faculty about the significance of entrepreneurship in healthcare. Dr. Kashif emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship are essential for fostering advancements, enhancing patient care, reducing costs, addressing unmet needs, driving economic growth, promoting collaboration, and improving global health.
The session concluded with a note of thanks delivered by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Dr. Habib-ur-Rehman, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amir.
