Introduction of Department of Education

 The teaching profession is considered the backbone of the educational system of a country. The Department of Education (DOE), Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities (FSSH) of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat is established in the year 2023 for the purpose of teacher training programs. The DOE, will work in the purview of FSSH. Initially the certificates, diplomas and degrees programs will be offered in the following’s domains.

  1. Certificates in Early Childhood Care and Education.
  2. PGD in Early Childhood Care and Education.
  3. Associates degree in Early Childhood Care and Education.
  4. B.Ed ( Early Childhood Care and Education)
  5. PGD- Educational Leadership and Management.
  6. Master of Philosophy in Education/ Educational Leadership and Management (ELM)
  7.  PhD-Education.
  8. Faculty Development of FSSH.

The DOE, of FSSH of STMU, through its programs and teaching learning activities, will enhance the university’s capacity to contribute the social, cultural, educational and economic welfare of Pakistan.

Transformation of Teacher Education: Keeping in view the indigenous and worldwide needs to produce prospective teachers (Early Childhood Care and Education and General) professionals and researcher for local and worldwide market.

To Achieve Excellence in the Field of Teacher Education through Empowering Prospective and In-Service Teachers and Developing their Competencies in the Areas of Content, Pedagogy, Writing and Research in the Field of Early Childhood Care and Education.

Goals of Department of Education.

The DOE, of FSSH, will strive for the following’s goals:

  1. To promote awareness about the importance of Early Childhood Care and Education and General Education.
  2. To provide outreach guidance and support to improve the quality of educational services to institution.
  3. To enhance the capacity of the faculty, through faculty development programs.

 To render other educational, training and management services to academic institutions working across the country.
