First ever online e-poster competition was held in Shifa College of Medicine, STMU, on the occasion of 9^th Annual Intercollegiate Scholars Day for undergraduates in COVID-19 lockdown on Wednesday 22^nd April, 2020. This historic event was organized by the Department of Community Medicine, SCM under the supervision of Dr. Sajida Naseem Associate Professor and leadership of HOD Prof. Dr. Zahid Naeem. The event started at 10am with recitation from Hoy Quran by Dean SCM Prof. Dr. Mohammed Amir, it was chaired by honorable Vice Chancellor STMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Iqbal Khan. Dr. Waqas Rabbani, Assistant Professor Department of Behavioral Sciences facilitated the IT services. An efficient and smooth working of the online event was conducted under his direct supervision. Nineteen abstracts were shortlisted; these represented 5 different medical universities including Foundation Medical University Rawalpindi, Rawalpindi Medical University, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto University Islamabad, National University of Management Sciences Rawalpindi and Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Islamabad. All presenters were provided with a customized e-poster template, they were given 5 minutes for presentation followed by 1 minute of question & answer session by a panel of three worthy judges. The judges included: Prof. Dr. Maimoona Siddiqui (HOD Department of Neurology, SIH), Dr. Tayyaba Faisal (Senior Epidemiologist CPSP, Islamabad), Dr. Afrose Liaqat (Assistant Professor Biochemistry SCM). The judges marked the presentation on an online marking grid, which was shared with participants prior to the start of competition.  Participants were awarded an e-certificate of participation. The VC STMU announced the cash prize of Rs.15000, 10,000 and 5,000 respectively to the First, second and third positions. This competition was registered as a CME activity,  faculty participating in this competition were awarded CME points after fulfilment of its prerequisites. Ist prize was awarded to Shahmir Abbassi from STMU, 2^nd Prize to Abdullah Kaefi- STMU while 3^rd Prize to Maheen Nazir-RMU. The event concluded with dua by the VC STMU at 1:15 pm.
