CPSP conducted the 2nd International Conference on Medical Education (IMECON-2024). In the pre-conference workshop, creating selected-response questions MCQs (multiple choice questions) and EMQs (extended matching questions) was arranged by the Department of Health Professions Education at Shifa College of Medicine. The session was held on February 21,2024.
The purpose of this faculty development workshop was to give educators the know-how and provide skill to construct accurate and efficient multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and extended multiple-choice questions (EMQs) that can assess student’s learning. The foundations of creating MCQs and EMQs, methods for crafting excellent questions, and procedure for guaranteeing validity and reliability were all discussed with the participants. Attendees improved their capacity to create multiple-choice questions MCQs and EMQs that support critical thinking abilities and are in line with learning objectives through practical application and group discussions. The participants enjoyed the interactive session.
