Department of Health Professions Education organized an educational development webinar on “Thinking like a researcher” on 6^th June 2020. Dr Usman Hamdani, Assistant Professor at STMU and Director Department of Population Health Sciences, Global institute of Human Development

(GIHD)was the main speaker while Dr Muneeza Aamir Sami from DHPE, SCM moderated the webinar. Dr Hamdani highlighted the importance of collaboration in research and the steps involved in writing for research grants. It was an interactive session where the participants took active part in the discussion and asked questions and shared their experiences. Dr Hamdani also spoke about the prospects of research and the challenges during COVID pandemic. Vice chancellor Shifa Tameer e Millat University Prof. Dr Muhammad Iqbal thanked the speaker and praised the efforts of the faculty and the department of health professions education for their efforts in ensuring smooth online delivery of the curriculum during COVID-19 pandemic. The session ended with concluding remarks and dua by Dean Faculty Health Sciences and Principal Shifa College of Medicine, Prof. Dr Muhammad Amir.
