SCM, STMU- CDA:  Annual Tree Plantation

The Annual tree plantation activity of SCM, STMU and CDA held on August 31, 2022, at the Parade Ground, Islamabad. This was organised by the Department of Community, in which students of the Class of 2026 generously contributed to the plantation of 75 fruit trees and 25 ornamental plants. These included Peach, Damson, Apple, Sapodilla, Loquat, JavaPlum, Pomegranate, Persimmon, and others per CDA instructions.

The activity was chaired by worthy Chancellor STMU Dr Manzoor ul Haq Qazi and honourable Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Iqbal Khan. Respected Dean FHS Prof Dr Muhammad Amir, STMU officials and staff, Dean of constituent colleges were also present for the occasion.

Ms Javeria Maqbool, Deputy Director of Parks Division Environment Wing CDA, also attended this ceremony.

Dr Sajida Naseem, Associate Professor of Community Medicine, hosted the tree plantation ceremony. The guests highlighted the importance of tree plantation and its impact on our ecosystem. Faculty and students participated in the event thoroughly and appreciated the efforts of this ecological sound activity.
