Scholar’s day was held at Shifa College of Medicine, STMU on 8 th May, 2018. It was organized by the Department of Community Medicine & Medical Education and lead by Dr. Sajida Naseem, Assistant Professor of Community Medicine. The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor STMU, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal. The Dean SCM Prof. Dr. Muhammed Amir addressed the audience. Year 4 students attending the clerkship of Community and Family Medicine helped in beautifully organizing this event. Medical students from 7 colleges of Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in this event i.e. Islamabad Medical and dental College (IMDC), Wah Medical College (WMC), Rawalpindi medical University (RMU), Islamic International Medical College (IIMC), Al- Nafees Medical College, Federal Medical and Dental College (FMDC) and Shifa College of Medicine (SCM). Overall 33 research posters were presented in front of a panel of 9 distinguished judges. The best projects were given cash prizes. The 1 st prize of Rs. 26,000 went to SCM. 2 nd prize of Rs. 12,000 was divided among RMU and SCM and 3 rd prize of Rs. 5000 was also divided among RMU and SCM. All participants received a certificate of participation.
