Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of bioinformatics, including databases, algorithms, and statistical tools.
- Apply bioinformatics techniques to solve problems in genomics, proteomics, and systems biology.
- Use bioinformatics software and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB) for data analysis.
- Analyze high-throughput biological data such as DNA sequences, protein sequences, and gene expression data.
- Develop and apply algorithms for biological data processing and interpretation.
- Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in bioinformatics research.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, etc.), Computer Science, or related fields.
- A strong foundation in basic biology and computer science will be beneficial.
