‘How to write good quality MCQs’ workshop conducted by DHPE at the Biennial Physiology Conference at Al-Nafees Medical College

Department of Health Profession Education, Shifa College of Medicine conducted a workshop on ‘How to write good quality MCQs’ at the Biennial Physiology Conference held at Al-Nafees Medical College- Islamabad on Tuesday, November 23^rd 2021.  

Professor Dr. Riffat Shafi represented the faculty team from SCM along with Dr. Muneeza Aamir Sami, Dr. Hareem Fatima and Dr. Mahrukh Durrani from the Department of Health Professions Education.

The workshop was organized in a hybrid format where faculty members from various medical colleges participated online as well as in-person. Dr Muneeza Aamir Sami, Assistant Professor DHPE  introduced the participants to various types of multiple choice questions, structure of single best answer question and the various item writing flaws. It was an interactive session followed by group activity, group presentations and feedback. At the end of the workshop there was a question and answer session as well. The workshop was well received and applauded by all the participants.
