Enhancing Faculty Skills in Multidisciplinary Teaching: Integrating Rehabilitation Medicine

An educational development seminar titled "Enhancing Faculty Skills in Multidisciplinary Teaching: Integrating Rehabilitation Medicine" was organized by the Department of Health Professions Education on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the SCM Campus. The seminar was facilitated by Prof. Dr. Brig Aamir Waheed Butt (SI), (R), MBBS, FCPS, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. The primary objective of the seminar was to enhance faculty capacity in designing multidisciplinary modules, emphasizing functional recovery and quality of life by integrating rehabilitation medicine concepts into undergraduate teaching curricula. The event witnessed participation from faculty members representing both basic and clinical sciences. The session underscored the significance of rehabilitation medicine in improving quality of life and highlighted its critical role within contemporary medical education. The seminar concluded with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, who extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Waheed for his valuable and insightful contribution. The Worthy Vice Chancellor, who delivered closing remarks and concluded the occasion with a Dua, further graced the event.
