An educational development seminar titled “Statistical Insights for High-Impact Research Publications” took place on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the SCM Campus. This event was organized by the Department of Health Professions Education in collaboration with the Global Institute of Human Development (GIHD). Professor Dr. Duollao Wang, a renowned expert in research methodologies, facilitated the session.
Dr. Wang, recognized for his extensive expertise in statistical issues related to the design, analysis, and reporting of clinical trials, delivered an insightful lecture aimed at enhancing the research capabilities of the attending faculty. His discussion focused on addressing statistical challenges and providing strategies to improve the quality and impact of research, thereby increasing the likelihood of publication in high-impact journals.
The seminar saw active engagement from faculty members across various disciplines, as well as participants from the constituent colleges of STMU. The session commenced with opening remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, who highlighted the significance of such educational initiatives in fostering academic excellence. The event concluded with closing remarks from the Vice Chancellor, who emphasized the importance of research in advancing the field of health professions education.
