An educational development seminar titled “Artificial Intelligence in Medicine: Innovation and Reliability” was held on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the SCM Campus by Department of Health Professions Education in collaboration with ORIC-STMU. Professor Naeem Ramzan, a distinguished Professor of Artificial Intelligence at the University of the West of Scotland, conducted the seminar. The purpose of this lecture was to enlighten the faculty about the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of medicine. Professor Ramzan shared insightful perspectives on how AI is revolutionizing healthcare delivery, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, improving treatment protocols, and optimizing patient management.
The seminar witnessed active participation from faculty members across various disciplines as well as students, creating an engaging and collaborative environment. The Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences concluded the event with closing remarks and Dua. He highlighted the growing significance of AI in healthcare and emphasized the importance of staying abreast with technological innovations to improve patient outcomes.
