The Department of Biosciences hosted a one-day hands-on training workshop titled “First Aid Techniques and Emergency Treatment” in collaboration with Rescue 1122 and the Pakistan Life Savers Programme (PLSP). The session was led by Community Safety Trainer, “Mubeen Ur Rasheed”. Faculty, staff, and students of the Department of Biosciences actively engaged in this training session.
In today’s fast-paced world, medical emergencies can arise unexpectedly. This workshop provided participants with the knowledge and skills to offer immediate assistance until professional help is available. Participants gained an understanding of proper first aid administration, learned how to provide timely and appropriate treatment to preserve life, discovered methods to minimize injury consequences until help arrived, and became familiar with workplace first aid regulations. Participants left the workshop empowered to act confidently in emergencies, ready to make a difference when it matters most.
