Dean's Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical & Allied Health Sciences (FPAHS) of the Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), Islamabad. I feel privileged to head one of the most prodigious faculties of STMU encompassing 2 Colleges and 3 Departments, offering 7 undergraduate and 3 postgraduate programs with a wide range of academic offerings in the Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rehabilitation Sciences, Biosciences, Health Services Management, and more than a dozen sub-specialities in Medical Technology. FPAHS offers one of the most comprehensive and enriching educational experiences through its tailored curriculum and surpassed training capabilities in its teaching hospital (Shifa International Hospitals; JCI Accredited teaching hospital of the University). 

While our Faculty comprises a wide variety of disciplines and area of studies, all share the common goals of asking challenging questions, communicating with clarity, and learning from the perspectives of others. We truly believe that such inquiry is fundamental to our understanding of and the betterment of humanity. Our aim is to equip our students with the skills of critical thinking, writing, research, and problem-solving that are valuable to any organisation and industry, to meet the challenges of the fast-changing world we live in today.

As the world changes, so too should our educational programs. This fall, there will be a major addition to the Faculty: a department dedicated to one of the fastest-growing sectors in Pakistan; Bio-Sciences. The demand for talented bio-scientists is growing all the time, and with the Department of Biosciences, we intend to train the next generation of leaders in the field.
