An educational development seminar on “Community Oriented Medical Education” (COME) was held at Shifa College of Medicine on Saturday July 28, 2018. This faculty development initiative was led by the Department of Community Medicine. COME is an approach to medical education that takes into account the health needs of the community concerned. The faculty of Department of Community Medicine delivered a presentation incorporating current research, evidence based practice and student feedback. A group activity was conducted afterwards to demonstrate the COME approach for delivery of medical curriculum integrating other basic and clinical sciences.
