A Prize Distribution ceremony was organised at Shifa College of Medicine on August 16, 2022. The ceremony was organised by the Department of Student Affairs under the supervision of Dr Fahad Azam, Associate Professor of Pharmacology. The Vice Chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Prof. Dr Mohammad Iqbal Khan, was the chief guest, and the guest of honour was the Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences, Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Prof. Dr M Amir.

This one-hour ceremony was hosted by Dr Sadia Syed, Assistant Professor Forensic Medicine, and Dr Waqas Rabbani, Assistant Professor Behavioural Sciences, where certificates and cash prizes were distributed for the three major categories as follows:

1.     High Achievers Certificate:

To appreciate and highlight the academic distinctions of Students, securing more than 80% marks or >3 GPA, certificates and cash prizes were awarded amounting to 15%, 10% & 5% of their tuition fee based on 1st, 2nd, 3rd position respectively, in the Annual Examination.

2.     E-Olympiad Winners award:

The Event gave an opportunity to the students, faculty and staff to showcase their talent and participate and win certificates and cash prizes in the following competitions:

• Scrabble
• Typing speed
• Call of duty
• Sketching and painting
• Photography (Theme: Life at Shifa)
• Online steps:
• Chess
• Workout and fitness videos
• Urdu and English Poetry
• Urdu and English Poetry Narration

3.     Best Researcher Award:

It was awarded to Mr Ali Haider Bangash, who got 16 publications in high-impact factor journals.
