IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN-TWO NATION THEORY   As part of 79th Independence Day celebrations, Shifa College of Medicine hosted Mr. Muhammad Ahmed Zafar on August 12 2025, in the HLS Module for year 1 MBBS students, on the topic of “Ideology of Pakistan and the Two-Nation Theory”. It was organised by Dr. Umme Kulsoom Khattak with the lead of Prof Dr Ashraf Hussain, under the longitudinal theme of Pakistan Studies. Mr. Zafar is an esteemed academic, holding a Master’s in Computer Science and having extensive experience teaching Software Development at bachelor’s level. Beyond his educational qualifications, he is deeply involved in philanthropic endeavors by running the Mishkat Welfare Trust since 2008 and serving as the director of Olives School, Islah Public School and MILE Institute. He is also involved in volunteer work by giving lectures on Islam, History and current affairs. Mr. Zafar delivered an insightful and thought-provoking session, tracing the history of the nation and exploring the ideals of our founding fathers and the influences that shaped them. He highlighted the pivotal role of Allama Iqbal and Muhammad Ali Jinnah in the creation of Pakistan, emphasizing the strength of their partnership. The session captured the students’ attention, sparking their keen interest. Mr. Zafar also discussed broader historical events that provided the background to the ideology of Pakistan and the development of the Two-Nation Theory.
