August 21, 2023ESSAY COMPETITION on YOUM-E-ISTEHSAL
Pakistan observed “YOUM-E-ISTEHSAL” on 05 AUGUST, 2023, on the completion of four years of military siege of India illegally occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK) and to show the solidarity with Kashmiri people.
Shifa College of Medicine arranged an “ESSAY COMPETITION” on this salient topic, “YOUM-E-ISTEHSAL”. Dr Umme Kulsoom Khattak organized this Essay Competition among all five years of MBBS.
This Essay writing was planned to show solidarity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, along with highlighting unilateral and illegal actions of India against the people of Kashmir and continuing atrocities committed by the Indian occupation forces in IIOJK.
In a short time, students responded, showing solidarity and love for Kashmir. The first position was received by “Rohma Shah” in Year 2, the second position by, “Muhammad Zarbaab Ali Khan” in Year 3 and the third position by Muhammad Momin Asif” in Year 1. The students were awarded Certificates and cash prizes by Prof Dr Ashraf Hussain and Prof Gen Aslam in a ceremony on 15 August 2023.
