To equip students/participants with the knowledge and understanding of international human rights standards as they relate to people with mental disability.
To understand the international human rights standards to mental health legislation.
To understand the role of legislation in promoting and protecting the rights of persons with mental disability.
To understand the Mental Health Ordinance for Pakistan 2001.
To understand how mental health policy and services can work to improve the human rights of people with mental disability and their access to the mental health care system.
To understand the importance of mental health in the contest of universal health coverage and also to contemplate on the current regulations.
