A distinguished delegation from Astana Medical University, Kazakhstan, visited Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU) on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. The meeting, facilitated by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, aimed to foster international academic partnerships and strengthen bilateral ties between the two institutions.
The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Raisa Gul, Dean Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery and Acting Vice Chancellor of STMU. During the meeting, both universities presented comprehensive overviews of their academic structures, strengths, and institutional missions. The discussion revolved around academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and student and faculty mobility programs.
The participants reached a mutual understanding that formal Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) should be developed and signed to initiate long-term academic cooperation.
