Shifa Tameer e Millat University held an online 8-Series workshop “Nurturing Holistic development in early years” on 31August to 23 September 2024. This workshop focused on fostering comprehensive growth in young children.

1. The workshop emphasized fostering well-rounded growth in children by integrating meaningful learning experiences.
2. Play-based strategies align with children’s natural curiosity, making learning enjoyable and meaningful.
3. Storytelling, enhances children listening skills, vocabulary, and imagination.
4. Under the sub-theme Climate Change Education, strategies for teaching sustainability and environmental awareness were highlighted.
5. Activities like nature-based play, recycling crafts, and storytelling helped participants learn ways to introduce eco-conscious habits to young learners.
6. The sub-theme Home Schooling explored personalized teaching approaches, focusing on blending academics with life skills at home.
7. Assessment in Early Years focused on evaluating children’s progress through play, portfolios, and observation.
8. Participants explored innovative ways to assess social, emotional, and cognitive development in stress-free settings.
9. Attendees gained hands-on experience with tools and strategies to nurture creativity, critical thinking, and environmental stewardship.
10. The event provided practical insights for educators and parents to support children’s holistic development effectively.
