About MS Clinical Psychology Program
Objectives of the MSCN Program
- Advanced Knowledge Acquisition: To provide students with advanced knowledge and understanding of the principles of nutrition science, including macronutrients, micronutrients, metabolism, and nutritional biochemistry.
- Clinical Assessment Skills: To develop students’ expertise in conducting comprehensive nutritional assessments of individuals throughout the lifespan, including anthropometric measurements, dietary analysis, biochemical assessments, and medical history review.
- Evidence-Based Practice: To equip students with the skills necessary to critically evaluate and apply scientific evidence to inform nutritional interventions and dietary recommendations for individuals with various health conditions and nutritional needs.
- Therapeutic Interventions: To train students in the development and implementation of personalized nutrition care plans tailored to address specific health conditions, dietary restrictions, and nutritional goals, considering cultural, socioeconomic, and psychosocial factors.
- Research Proficiency: To cultivate students’ research skills, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation, to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in clinical nutrition through scholarly inquiry, research projects, and thesis development.
- Nutrition Education and Counseling: To develop students’ abilities to effectively communicate nutrition-related information, provide dietary education, and deliver motivational counseling to individuals and groups, promoting behavior change and adherence to healthy eating patterns.
- Clinical Practicum Experience: To provide students with supervised clinical practicum experiences in diverse healthcare settings, allowing them to apply theoretical knowledge and skills in real-world clinical scenarios under the guidance of experienced preceptors.
