Mission Statement

In order to achieve the premier international standards the institute will develop and enhance research environment to ensure and foster the quality research activities of the institute and its conversion into viable products and services in liaison with the industrial expertise and funding / donor agencies to cope up the current socio economic and industrial challenges.

Objectives

1. To develop and implement the strategic research directions and policies
2. To promote, expand and enhance  the research activities of STMU
3. To guide and encourage the university faculty members to acquire the local and external funding
4. To facilitate the curriculum committees in integrating the research and  course materials
5. To Translate the research outcomes into social and industrial development
6. To make linkage between university and industries
7. To facilitate and encourage the students and faculty members for entrepreneurship, technology- transfer and commercialization
8. To facilitate and encourage the faculties to develop the multi-disciplinary and multi-institutions research  projects
