Integrated Practical Examination: Tool to Assess Skills and Attitude

A faculty development seminar titled “Integrated Practical Examination: Tool to Assess Skills
and Attitude “was organized by the Department of Health Professions Education (DHPE) on
Saturday, April 01, 2023, at Shifa College of Medicine Campus.
The seminar was aimed to provide the faculty guidelines on developing assessment of skills and
attitude in alignment with appropriate tools. Prof. Dr Riffat Shafi briefed the participants about
the important components of an integrated practical examination and how we can make it more
valid and reliable. The session was facilitated by Dr Shazia Irum, Dr Muneeza Aamir Sami, Dr
Mahrukh Durrani and Dr Hareem Fatima. The faculty from both basic and clinical sciences
participated enthusiastically by constructing integrated stations for IPE. The worthy Vice
Chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, Prof. Dr Mohammad Iqbal, the Dean Prof. Dr
Mohammad Amir and the entire faculty attended this event. The seminar was well received and
appreciated by everyone.
