The Shaybani Law Society (SLS) is the official student representative body of the Department of Shariah and Law (DSL) at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. Named in honor of the legacy of Islamic jurisprudence, SLS serves as a platform where law students can grow as future legal professionals, leaders, and advocates for justice.
Vision:
To cultivate a vibrant community of law students who are academically excellent, professionally competent, and socially responsible — bridging the gap between legal education and real-world practice.
Mission:
SLS is committed to promoting legal education, leadership, research, community engagement, and democratic values among the students of the Department of Shariah and Law. Through active student representation and meaningful engagement, the Society strives to give every law student a voice in academic and administrative matters within the department.
Objectives:
Co-Curricular Life at SLS
Beyond the classroom, SLS gives law students a space to sharpen the practical skills every future lawyer needs — advocacy, research, and public engagement — through dedicated committees:
Through these platforms, SLS ensures that every law student at DSL has the opportunity to grow not just as a student of law, but as a well-rounded future legal professional.
