Zia Ul Mustafa is a distinguished management professional and corporate leader with 25+ years of experience in organizational development, strategy, project management, finance, and governance. He holds multiple global qualifications, including CMA (ICMA Pakistan), CMA (IMA USA), FFA (IFA UK), FIPA (IPA Australia), and CMP (ICMP USA).

He has served in key C-level and board positions across major corporate and public-sector institutions, including Rustam Group, Descon Engineering, Pakistan Expo Centres, Agricultural Development Bank of Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, Ignite National Technology Fund, and PIPFA. He also led ICMA Pakistan and SAFA as President.

Zia currently holds several honorary leadership roles, including President of the House of Professionals, Chairman of the Strategic Board of ICMA Pakistan, Member of the PAIB Advisory Group of IFAC, Member of the Global Advisory Board of ICMP USA, and other international committees.

With strong global exposure, Zia is recognized for his strategic insight and governance leadership. He is also an active corporate trainer, speaker, and writer known for driving organizational growth with integrity, vision, and impact.

Role of Treasurer

Treasure of the University is appointed by the Senate on the recommendation of the Vice Chancellor on such terms and conditions as may be prescribed. The Treasurer is the Chief Financial Officer of the University.  He is responsible for the following:

  • Manage the assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, funds and investments of the University.
  • Prepare the annual and revised budget estimates of the University and present them to the Syndicate or a committee thereof for approval and incorporation in the budget to be presented to the Senate
  • Ensure that the funds of the University are expended on the purposes for which they are provided.
  • Get the accounts of the University audited annually so as to be available for submission to the Senate within six months of the close of the financial year
  • Perform such other duty assigned by Senate, Syndicate or Vice Chancellor.
  • The Treasurer shall be a member of statutory bodies and committee as prescribed.
