The Shifa School of Health Professions Education (SSHPE) is dedicated to advancing excellence in health professions education by providing learning opportunities that meet national and international standards and incorporate current educational evidence and innovations. The school oversees postgraduate medical education, promotes faculty development through monthly seminars and regular workshops, and supports educational research and scholarly activities. By fostering high-quality teaching, academic excellence, and continuous professional development, SSHPE contributes to improved patient care and the overall enhancement of the healthcare system.
SSHPE oversees post-graduate medical education. Some of the major domains of SSHPE include curriculum, assessment, faculty development and evaluations.
SSHPE facilitates the design, implementation, and review of the curriculum. It ensures valid and reliable process of assessment. SSHPE is also responsible for executing all evaluation activities including analysis of feedback from students and faculty on academic activities, which is disseminated among the faculty and later followed-up.
SSHPE plays an important role in the faculty development. A faculty development seminar is organized on the last Saturday of every month. It helps to disseminate and share information about the modern trends in medical education worldwide. Further, SSHPE facilitates educational research and other scholastic activities. Regular small group workshops also conducted as part of faculty development plan.
