Ms Rahma Sohail is a Lecturer/Clinical Psychologist at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University Islamabad. She has completed MS Clinical psychology from International Islamic university, Islamabad. She is a trainee Psychotherapist and counselor from CPCAB-UK. She is RBT trained Behavior therapist with a vast experience with children with autism & special needs. She has done Master‟s degree in Applied Psychology (specialized in educational psychology) with distinction from National Institute of Psychology, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. She caters with the diverse domains of mental health which differs from one age bracket to another. She is a staunch advocate of scientific research in the field of mental health. She has been serving in health and education sectors as a mental health practitioner and trainer. As a practitioner she facilitates the individuals to resolve their inner conflicts, external stressors and relationships with an integrative approach of therapy. Over the years, she has developed the expertise in assessment, counseling and psychotherapy of various psychological disorders. Currently, she is involved in training, research and development along with cultural adaptation of psychometric tools, intervention plans and mental health awareness in Pakistan. Regarding her professional experience, she served as a lecturer and psychological counselor in University of Wah for 2 years. She worked as a behavior therapist in the field of applied behavior analysis in special education setups such as BASES inc and CYFF. She has provided online counseling services in telehealth companies such as Shifaam and IME. Moreover, Volunteer works such as“Civic Education Pakistan” and project “Maira School street children” gave her further broader vision towards the field of psychology. As a researcher she worked as research associate in PRIDE ( Policy Research Innovation Development and Education) for few years. Her research areas are clinical psychology, women reproductive mental health, child psychology, social psychology health psychology and cyber psychology.
