An educational development seminar titled “Revolutionizing Nano-Biotec Research in Pakistan: Exploring Next-Generation Medicines, Cancer Vaccines, and the Transformative Role of Academic and Research Institutions” was organized by the Department of Health Professions Education on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the SCM Campus. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Danish, Director General, Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.
The seminar aimed to provide a platform for discussion on cutting-edge research and recent advancements in cancer management, with a particular focus on next-generation therapeutics and cancer vaccines. The event was well attended, with active participation from faculty members representing both basic and clinical sciences, fostering a rich academic discourse.
In the concluding session, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and encouraged sustained dialogue among medical educators, clinicians, and researchers. He highlighted the prospective partnership between Shifa Institute and Nano-Biotec for the establishment of a collaborative research laboratory, aimed at strengthening nanotechnology-based research to address cancer and rare diseases. The seminar concluded with a Dua led by Professor Iqbal.
