Dr. Waseem Ahmed serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Software Engineering at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University. He is a distinguished technology expert, holding a PhD in Distributed & Parallel Computing Systems from Tsinghua University in Beijing. Tsinghua University is globally recognized, consistently ranked among the world’s top 30 institutions. He brings over 22 years of diverse and extensive experience within the technology industry. His career encompasses critical roles such as Software Engineer, Project Manager, System Analyst, and Director of Analysis & Design. Dr. Waseem’s expertise covers end-to-end system lifecycles, including analysis, design, development, and strategic leadership. He has a proven track record of delivering large-scale, mission-critical enterprise solutions. A significant career highlight includes his collaboration with the FBR’s Business Process Re-Engineering team and IMF technical advisors. In this capacity, he contributed to the nationwide deployment of an Integrated Tax Management System. His most recent position was Chief Manager (System Analysis & Design) at PRAL, a subsidiary of the FBR. In this role, he was instrumental in automating national-level revenue systems. His work at FBR demonstrated a consistent blend of technical proficiency and managerial excellence. Beyond the public sector, he has also contributed his skills to private and international technology firms. This cross-sector experience enabled him to deliver a wide range of innovative software solutions. His technical proficiency includes developing large-scale, multi-domain projects in .NET (C#, Vb.Net) with Oracle databases. Dr. Waseem possesses over a decade of hands-on experience managing development teams for end-to-end applications. He is highly skilled in Business Process Re-engineering and designing systems using Object-Oriented techniques. His competencies extend to comprehensive project management, including planning, execution, and time management. He specializes in the analysis, design, and development of mission-critical systems using cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
