Dr. Laila Shakeel Abbasi

Dr. Laila Shakeel Abbasi serves as Assistant Professor, Head of the Department of Medical and Dental Education, and Deputy Principal at Shifa College of Dentistry, STMU. She is also the Advisor to Academic and Student Affairs. Dr. Laila graduated from Army Medical College, NUST in 2013 with two Gold medals, one Silver medal, and three academic distinctions, and completed her Master’s in Health Professions Education (MHPE) from Riphah International University in 2021. Her work focuses on the development, implementation, and review of the undergraduate BDS curriculum, driving teaching innovations, and leading faculty development and quality assurance activities. Additionally, she serves as core teaching faculty at the Shifa School of Health Professions Education (SSHPE) for MHPE and CHPE programs.
