Department of Pharmacology Organized an Engaging Team-Based Learning (TBL) Competition

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of Shifa College of Medicine, the Department of Pharmacology organized an engaging Team-Based Learning (TBL) competition. Six medical colleges from the Rawalpindi/Islamabad region enthusiastically participated in this event, held on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at the SCM NCBMS campus. The primary aim of this event was to foster teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in the field of Pharmacology among medical students, all while commemorating our institution’s remarkable 25-year journey.

Participating institutions included Federal Medical College, Foundation University Medical College, HBS Medical and Dental College, Islamabad Medical and Dental College, Islamic International Medical College, and Shifa College of Medicine. After a fierce competition, the team from Shifa College of Medicine emerged victorious, clinching the top position and securing a well-deserved cash prize of Rs. 10,000 along with certificates. The second position was secured by the HBS Medical and Dental College team, honored with a cash prize of Rs. 5,000 and certificates for their outstanding performance. Foundation University Medical College’s team stood third, receiving well-deserved certificates for their excellent performance.
