DHPE organized a seminar on “Balancing personal and professional roles” on 22nd June 2019. Dr Iftikhar.N.Hassan, Head of Clinical Psychology at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University was the speaker of the event. She spoke about gender equality and how roles have changed over the years. Group activities were conducted in which the faculty members were asked to discuss among each other and present this transition that has occurred over the decades. Dr Iftikhar summarized that for women to contribute equally to a society, they need support both from their families and from their organizations/institutions in terms of day care facilities, flexible working hours and extended maternity leave etc. Dean Shifa College of Medicine, Dr Muhammad Amir gave concluding remarks and presented shield to the honorable speaker.
