Sr. Lecturer of Clinical Psychology
Ms. Arooj Ashraf Khan is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Lecturer at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), with over 8 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of psychological challenges. She specializes in behavior therapy, personality disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), learning disabilities, anxiety, conduct disorders, and developmental disabilities. Ms. Arooj is currently pursuing a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University, further advancing her expertise in clinical practice and research.
Ms. Arooj’s strong research background includes multiple publications and presentations at international conferences. Alongside her academic achievements, she has provided extensive support to special education departments in schools, developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP). She has also led interactive seminars for parents of children with ASD, ADHD, SLD, and conduct disorders.
Ms. Arooj has played a key role in the establishment of Shifa Psychological Services Clinic, contributing to foundational planning and overseeing official documentation to ensure seamless operations. She provides expert psychological care to diverse patients and delivers workshops on psychological well-being and mental health awareness, enhancing community knowledge and engagement.
At STMU, Ms. Arooj supervises and coordinates the clinical internships of BS, MS, and PMDCP students, ensuring high-quality training in clinical settings. She is also involved in administrative tasks, including developing official forms for the university’s psychology clinic.
