Dr. Saleem Zahid is an HEC Approved PhD Supervisor in Computer Science with over eight years of academic experience in teaching, research, and supervision. He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) under the HEC Indigenous Fellowship Program. His research interests include Computer Networks, Internet of Things (IoT), Fog/Edge Computing, Federated Learning, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), with a focus on developing efficient, secure, and intelligent networking solutions for next-generation communication systems. Along with supervising numerous BS and MS theses, he is also actively supervising PhD scholars in his areas of specialization. In addition to his academic profile, Dr. Saleem Zahid has valuable industrial experience, having served as an IT Officer at UNHCR, which strengthened his practical understanding of IT infrastructure and real-world networking environments. He has also taken on various administrative roles within the university, contributing to academic management, departmental coordination, and policy implementation. As an HEC Approved Supervisor, he is keen to collaborate on interdisciplinary projects that integrate AI, networking, and distributed computing while continuing to mentor students and researchers at both MS and PhD levels.
