Dr. Mubin Mustafa Kiyani

Dr. Mubin Mustafa Kiyani is a distinguished academic, researcher, and interdisciplinary scientist with more than 21 years of professional experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership within the biomedical sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, specializing in Medical Nanobiotechnology. He earned both his M.Phil. and M.Sc. degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Ethics and Teaching Methodology from Riphah International University. Before joining Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), Dr. Kiyani spent over 12 years at Riphah International University (RIU), where he launched two pioneering undergraduate programs: BS Medical Laboratory Technology and BS Biotechnology. At RIU, he served in various administrative capacities, including Head of Department, In-Charge Examinations (BS, MS, and Ph.D. programs), and Editor-in-Chief of the student magazine “Rehabilitation Today.” At STMU, he continues to play a vital role in institutional development as Head of Examinations and Head of QEC Committee for the BS Medical Technology program. Dr. Kiyani’s research bridges nanotechnology, molecular biology, and translational medicine, emphasizing nanomaterial-based therapeutic strategies against metabolic, inflammatory, and degenerative diseases. He has authored or co-authored over 60 scientific publications in reputed international journals with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 92, 450+ citations, and an h-index of 11. An HEC-approved Ph.D. supervisor, Dr. Kiyani has guided numerous research projects nationally and internationally, including Ph.D. co-supervisions at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (Iran) and Universiti Sains Malaysia (Malaysia). His scholarly contributions continue to advance innovation in nanomedicine and biomedical research.
