Message from the Dean SCN

As the dean of Nursing at Shifa Taemeer-e-Millat University, I welcome you to the Shifa College of Nursing established in 2003. To date, the college offers both, undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. You have made an excellent decision to select this college for your nursing studies.

The quality of our programs are among the best in the country, and we are committed to enhance it further.

All members of our faculty are competent, and engaged in teaching, and scholarship.

We believe in a holistic approach to learning. Thus, to achieve the desired learning outcomes, students are taught in a conducive environment for learning, through a variety of teaching and learning strategies.

The Shifa College of Nursing has a unique relationship with Shifa International Hospitals Limited (SIH), which is Joint Commission International Accredited. The SIH provides not only excellent learning opportunities for practical skills but also merit-based sponsorships for students. Our collaborative relationship with Shifa Hospital encourages evidence-based practice in several ways. The Hospital is growing at a fast pace within and outside Islamabad. Thus, the alumni have excellent employment opportunities upon their graduation.

To date, we have a diverse group of 640 alumni who have assumed various roles in healthcare organizations within Pakistan and abroad. Our alumni are our asset and we are proud of them!

We look forward to preparing nurses who will have the required knowledge and skills as well as strong ethical values and passion to serve patients and their families whether in hospitals or in communities at large.
