Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Obstetrics and genecology is a medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics and genecology .

The team comprises of highly trained experts and provides services hrough remarkable patient care and comprehensive training of the next generation of womens’ health leaders.We have a structured , integrated modular sysem of teaching that is initited in the second year of medical school in the form of ENR Module .During the third year clinical rotations are introduced and the students attend clerkships initially once a week and then for four weeks in fourth year and finally an extended nine week clerkship in final year.

The undergraduate curriculum in obstetrics and gynaecology is designed to provide medical students with the relevant competencies needed to practice as a foundation year doctor because we believe that Women’s health impacts on all areas of medicine. Our module imparts a fundamental undergraduate experience and an opportunity to expose undergraduates to the option of O&G as a career. The department is also accredited by CPSP for postgraduate training program.
