Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Psychology (PhD Clinical Psychology)

The PhD in Clinical Psychology program has launched in 2023. As per policy of HEC, the minimum period for completion of PhD shall be three years from the date of registration and the maximum period shall be eight years.

Admission Requirements

The candidates must have studied Clinical Psychology/Psychology as a subject at MS/M.Phil. Level to be eligible for admission in PhD in Clinical Psychology.
Minimum of 18 years of education in the relevant field and also granted equivalence by the HEC.
Minimum CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or First Division (in the annual system) in the most recent degree obtained is required, whether such a degree was obtained from Pakistani or foreign universities.
All applicants of the PhD program shall be required to take one of the following subject related admissions test:
The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) test administered by the Education Testing Service;
A graduate admission test administered by the Education Testing Council;
With the permission of the HEC, an equivalent test developed by the university, or by another university, for admissions to graduate programs.
Applicants are required to submit a statement of purpose/Research proposal, which is an integral part of the application form.

SSC + HSSC + BS + MS/Mphill = 30%
Entry Test Marks = 30%
Interview = 40%

^∆ Fee and charges shall be subject to review and revision as may be prescribed by the University from time to time.

# The number of credit hours may vary according to the course offering of the given academic session/ semester keeping in view the availability of resources and other such limitations.

* Policy on Collection/Charging of Advance Tax

The University shall collect/charge adjustable advance tax at the rate of 5% provided the annual fee

exceeds rupees two hundred thousand (Rs. 200,000). The fee shall include the tuition fee and all charges received by the University, excluding the amount received as refundable.

The amount of tax shall be in addition to the prescribed annual fee and once it is deposited with the Government Treasury, the University shall not be liable to make any refund and/or adjustment thereof.

+ Medical checkup fee @ Rs. 5000/- is admissible only for the program requiring Clinical observer ship/ Clerkship/ Internship.
