Shifa College of Medicine, renowned for its academic excellence and commitment to promoting athletic development among its students, has once again produced a cricket sensation in the form of Muhammad Ali Taj. The current 2nd-year MBBS student and a member of Islamabad East Zone cricket team, has continued to impress in the PCB Regional Inter-District Senior Tournament, scoring two centuries in two consecutive matches. The college’s dedication to athletics is evident in its various Sports Week events, which provide a platform for students to showcase their talent and foster a competitive spirit. These events not only contribute to the overall well-being of students but also help to create a positive and supportive learning environment. In his first match against Gilgit Baltistan, Ali scored a 131-run knock which included 16 boundaries and 2 sixes, helping his team secure a draw. In his second match against Islamabad North Zone, he once again showcased his batting talent, scoring a 122-run century with 13 boundaries and 3 sixes. Ali’s consistent performances have solidified his reputation as one of the rising stars of Pakistan cricket.
