Educational Development Seminar

An educational development seminar titled “Conducting Systematic Reviews of Healthcare Interventions Using Cochrane Guidelines” was held on Saturday, 31 August 2024, at the SCM Campus. Dr. Usman Hamdani, founder of the Global Institute of Human Development at Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (GIHD-STMU), led an engaging two-hour interactive session. During this session, participants were introduced to a comprehensive and structured approach to literature review. The session highlighted the significance of Cochrane Guidelines for systematic reviews, including the PICO framework, protocol writing, and protocol registration in healthcare, with the goal of enhancing participants’ understanding of systematic literature reviews. The seminar concluded with remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, who expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Hamdani for his insightful facilitation and valuable contributions to the success of the session.
