We are proud to announce that the Faculty of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University represented Pakistan at the prestigious AMEE 2025 Conference in Barcelona, Spain.
Our Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Mohammad Iqbal Khan, along with Prof. Fahad Azam (SCD & SCM), Prof. Abida Shaheen (SCM), and Prof. Riffat Shafi (SCM), made impactful contributions through workshops, sessions, and international collaborations.
Highlights of our participation:
- Pre-Conference Workshopon Social Accountability in Medical Education was led by Prof. M. Iqbal Khan, Prof. Fahad Azam, and Prof. Abida Shaheen, in collaboration with Roghayeh Gandomkar (Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran) and Dr. Juan Jose Bosch (Universidad Austral, Argentina). The workshop was attended by academic leaders including deans and program directors—from New Zealand, Brazil, Thailand, Vietnam, USA, Australia, Lebanon, and other countries.
- Conference Workshopon Digital Leadership in Academia and Medical Education was conducted by Prof. M. Iqbal Khan, Prof. Fahad Azam, Prof. Abida Shaheen, and Prof. Riffat Shafi, alongside Ibrahim Ulas Ozturan (Kocaeli University, Turkey), Dr. Nourhan Fawzy Wasfy (Suez Canal University, Egypt), and Prof. Sonia Ijaz Haider (Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan). ✨ The workshop was attended by 35 global academic leaders and was graced by the presence of Prof. Lyuba Konopasek (Senior Vice President Intealth & Executive Director, FAIMER) as Guest of Honour.
- Abida Shaheenalso moderated a session presenting cutting-edge research on AI, digital tools, and technology-enhanced learning in medical education.
- Faculty of STMU conducted meaningful meetings and held discussions with global leaders from AAMC, AMEE, Intealth, ECFMG, AGCME and other international regulatory bodies for future collaborations.
