Message from Chancellor

The era of accelerating change, we are now witnessing has exposed our world to a greater challenge of accomplishing more with our time. In an attempt to get more done, we must keep pace with this incessant change and continue to widen our intellectual horizon by acquiring professional management, technical and research skills. Therefore, we as the developing nation stand in need of an environment that promotes education and training required for high-demand careers.

I am honored to be the chancellor of Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), Islamabad which is committed to ensure excellence in all its educational programs coupled with dynamic and comprehensive academic distinction, whereby, making the learning experience of its MBBS, Nursing, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Bio Technology and Management students richer, challenging, germane, and stimulating.

Message from Vice Chancellor

It is indeed my proud privilege to lead Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University (STMU), Islamabad, as Vice Chancellor. STMU was established with a vision to be a world-class institution for academic excellence geared towards the development of a prosperous society and the university, in its pursuit of the same, is striving hard to expand the frontiers of knowledge through world-class teaching, scholarship, research and the lifelong engagement of its students and alumni to contribute to society at large.

This University has come a long way in adding new dimensions to the higher education in the country and is currently running both vertical and horizontal programs in Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Rehabilitation sciences, Medical Technology, Management Sciences, Psychology, clinical nutrition and Health Professional Education. In view of the emerging need of the hour, University is planning to start Law, Engineering and Computer Science programs at undergraduate and post graduate level in near future.

Our Vision

To work, within parameters of the charter, to create and disseminate knowledge in the fields of Health, Engineering, Business, Basic and Social Sciences in order to contribute to the process of nation building in keeping with our religious, historical and cultural ethos.

To establish following faculties supported with related academic infrastructure and highly qualified and experienced faculty:

(1) Faculty of Health Sciences.

(2) Faculty of Management Sciences.

(3) Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

(5) Faculty of Basic Sciences.

To establish academic and research facilities in such areas which correspond to the needs of domestic demands and meet global standards.

To train younger generation through exposures to global educational requirements to become future leaders and professionals so as to positively contribute to social and economic uplift of the country.

To inculcate in the students such values which are compatible with our religion, culture, history, traditions and social norms.
