Forensic workshop at Fizaia medical College Conference

The Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Shifa College of Medicine (SCM), participated in the Pre-Conference Workshop on Medicolegal Aspects of Firearm Injuries as part of the International Conference Fazaia Medical College 2025. The workshop was well attended by forensic faculty, medicolegal officers, postgraduate trainees, undergraduate students, police officials, and lawyers from various institutions and organizations across Pakistan. The event served as a valuable platform for multidisciplinary learning and discussion on the legal and medical dimensions of firearm-related cases.

The academic program was followed by a General Body Meeting of the Pakistan Society of Forensic Medicine (PSFMT). During this meeting, Dr. Sadia Syed, General Secretary PSFMT, delivered an engaging session on “How to Choose the Right Conference to Present Your Research”. She also shared glimpses of her previous online and in-person Conferences and workshops conducted and attended at Kuala Lumpur, Selangor,Kelantan and India inspiring the participants to seek international exposure and academic collaboration.🔗 Shifa Tameer-e-Millat University on LinkedIn.

Students from Shifa College of Medicine further engaged with the event through a poster competition, underlining their enthusiasm for forensic research and the department’s commitment to nurturing student participation. The Dean and Vice Chancelor Fizaia Medical College, Air University ensured their interest and full support in research collaborations with Shifa faculty and distributed certificates and souvenirs among the participants.
